Judge: Karen Larmeu Stakelum LWS

Karen served as president of the Louisiana Watercolor Society from
2004-2006 and is currently the International Show Chair and Artists’ Liaison
for that organization. Her watercolors have won many awards throughout
the years and can be found displayed in public as well as private collections.

I love to look at watercolors in person and seeing others' work up close gives me a window into that particular artist's personality. Brushstrokes,
composition and color are just three of the tools that the artist uses to perhaps get a point across, describe a scene or just delight the viewer. What power we
hold in our hands when we lift our brushes to paint - never to know how many others will see the painting and be affected by it!
